They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store. The role of a Cake Decorator can provide you with the skills and experiences of : • G uest service fundamentals and experience building a guest - first culture in food • B uild ing guest relationships and convert ing interactions into sales through sampling, special orders and creating unique designs • B uilding in cake and dessert trends , including seasonality, guest preference, and flavor • M onitoring sales of products and adjusting production to drive efficiency, profitability and minimize waste • C ake decorating fundamentals As a Cake Decorator , no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: • Greet: • 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave • 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you • Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience • Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task . • Execute F ood & B everage processes , including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandis e , instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product. • Engage with guests to capture and fulfill their customized cake order. • Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards • Produce, package and label items to specifications on production cards and follow specific department routines to drive sales, instocks and profitability . • Prep, ice and decorate cakes and cupcakes to place on the salesfloor that are seasonally relevant and follow production card specifications. • Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature of sensitive food items, as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures. • Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures. • Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales . • Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory . • Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines . • Always demonstrate a culture of ethi
