Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what SponsorApply collects, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: hello@sponsorapply.com.

What we collect

Why we use it (and our lawful basis)

Applications: we never submit for you

SponsorApply prepares application packs. It does not send your resume to employers. You choose whether to use a pack and you submit it yourself on the employer's official application page.

Who processes your data for us

We never sell your data and never share your resume with employers or recruiters. We never read your email inbox.

International transfers

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, resume, profile and prepared packs for as long as your account exists, so your history and tracker keep working. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete this data from the live database. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We are working on automatic deletion of inactive accounts and old packs and will update this page when it is in place.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. For now, email hello@sponsorapply.com from your account address — self-serve export and deletion are coming. You can edit your resume and profile yourself at any time from your profile page. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Where our sponsorship data comes from

Employer sponsorship evidence comes from public government records: the USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub (FY2023 approvals), the UK Home Office register of licensed sponsors, Canada's ESDC positive LMIA employer list and the Dutch IND public register of recognised sponsors. Job listings come from employers' public job boards (such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and SmartRecruiters) and a few public job aggregators.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date above.
