A Day in the Life The Research & Development (R&D) Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) provides financial leadership and decision support across Medtronic’s R&D organizations. The team partners with Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and Operating Unit leadership to support financial planning, resource allocation, forecasting, and business decision-making while promoting consistent financial practices and reporting standards across the enterprise. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as a finance business partner to Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory leadership within the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health Operating Units. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities while providing actionable insights that support resource prioritization, investment decisions, and operational performance. Primary Responsibilities • Partner with Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision support. • Lead month-end reporting, variance analysis, and performance reviews against forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and prior-year results. • Develop rolling forecasts, annual operating plans, and financial projections aligned to business priorities and organizational objectives. • Analyze spending, headcount, project activity, and business drivers to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support resource allocation, investment decisions, and business trade-offs. • Prepare financial reporting, presentations, and insights for senior leadership and business reviews. • Partner with Operating Unit Finance, Accounting, and R&D Finance CoE teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolve financial issues. • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, automation, and financial visibility. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of finance, accounting, or financial planning and analysis experience OR advanced degree and 2+ years of related experience. • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. • Experience developing financial models and supporting business decision-making through financial insights. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline. • Experience supporting Research & Development, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, or other functional organizations. • Experience serving as a finance business partner to senior leaders within a matrixed organization. • Experience with month-end close, forecasting, Annual Operating Plan processes, and resource planning activities. • Experience with SAP, OneStream, Power BI,
