WHY As vehicle electrical architectures become increasingly complex, ensuring flawless execution in manufacturing has never been more critical. This role exists to drive Electrical First Time Quality by developing and deploying the systems that validate electrical hardware before vehicles reach our customers. Your work will directly influence product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer confidence across some of GM's most advanced vehicle programs. WHAT As an Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will design and implement electrical test systems for production lines such as alignment and continuity / functional testing of components. HOW You will partner across manufacturing, quality, software, vehicle engineering, and plant operations to introduce, validate, and continuously improve electrical test systems around the globe. By combining technical expertise, project leadership, and hands-on problem-solving, you will help ensure our manufacturing facilities are prepared to deliver vehicles that meet GM's highest standards for quality, safety, and performance. Work Arrangement - Onsite The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel. This position may be filled with a Senior Engineer or Non-Senior Engineer. The level for this role will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities): • Lead end‑to‑end project management for electrical hardware systems, ensuring on‑time delivery, cost alignment, and performance to requirements. • Coordinate design, development, and integration of electrical hardware—working closely with mechanical, electrical, quality, software, and manufacturing teams. • Oversee the introduction, commissioning, and validation of new electrical test equipment and system upgrades. • Drive issue resolution by partnering with engineering and production teams to remove roadblocks and maintain program timing. • Ensure electrical hardware systems meet manufacturing readiness, reliability expectations, and plant integration requirements. • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, providing regular status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans. • Foster a forward‑thinking work culture that embraces change and adapts to evolving organizational and industry needs. • Build and maintain strategic relationships across software, manufacturing, and program management to strengthen cross‑functional alignment.
