The role: We’re looking for an Art Director, Generative AI to help evolve how our creative and product teams design, prototype, and produce work. This role combines generative AI, creative production, and design systems . You’ll help maintain and evolve scalable design systems while exploring emerging AI tools that enable us to create high-quality imagery, video, and marketing assets faster and at scale. As Art Director, Generative AI , you will architect and operate the technical infrastructure behind SoFi’s Creative Studio production workflows. You bring deep hands-on fluency in Figma Weave, Runway, and other node based design apps. and you know how to stitch those tools together into production-grade systems that scale. What you’ll do: • AI Workflows: Design, build, and maintain automated creative production workflows. • AI-Driven Asset Generation: Leverage Figma Weave and emerging AI tools to generate, iterate, and scale imagery for our centralized image library. Leverage Figma Motion to create web-ready marketing assets and motion. • Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with Art Directors and Interactive Designers to rapidly prototype visual concepts and translate creative direction into production-ready imagery, video, and digital assets. • Workflow Innovation: Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and emerging technologies to make creative workflows faster, more scalable, and more efficient. • Systems & Scale: Turn successful experiments into repeatable workflows, templates, and systems that can be adopted across the creative organization. • Explore & Experiment: Stay current with emerging generative AI capabilities across image, video, animation, and creative production. What you’ll need : • Experience Level: 4+ years of relevant experience in AI generative imagery and Video, working on or building design systems at scale, and digital asset creation within an agency or in-house studio setting (IC3/IC4 level). • Hands-on proficiency with Figma Weave, Runway or generative AI imagery and video creation including custom node development, pipeline design, and troubleshooting. • Solid understanding of generative AI models, image generation pipelines, and prompt engineering best practices. • Strong visual design and creative production skills. • Ability to translate creative direction into high-quality, production-ready assets. • A high bar for quality and a sense of ownership over the systems and outputs you build. • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with designers and creative teams. • Experience in digital marketing, campaign production, or creative operations is a strong plus. Nice to have: You’re a designer, systems thinker, and creative technologist who understands both the fundamentals of scalable design systems and the rapidly evolving possibilities of generative AI. You’re excited to experiment with new tools, but more importantly, you know how to turn those experiments into useful, repeatable workflows that help creative teams make better work, faster.
