About the role

The opportunity  As Medical Lead, Breast Cancer within US Oncology Medical Affairs, you will serve as a medical and scientific leader for the breast cancer portfolio, including the ADC franchise. You will lead the development, alignment and execution of the US medical strategy, provide medical leadership to the Core Medical Team, and partner across US and global functions to translate scientific priorities into meaningful outcomes for patients, healthcare professionals and the broader healthcare ecosystem.  This is an opportunity for an experienced physician or doctorate-level medical affairs leader who combines deep oncology expertise with strong business acumen, launch experience and the ability to influence across complex, cross-functional networks.  Why join us  • Meaningful patient impact: help shape evidence, education and medical strategy in breast cancer, with patient needs at the center of decisions.  • Science with scale: work across an innovative Oncology portfolio and collaborate with leading internal experts, external scientific leaders, academic institutions, professional societies, advocacy organizations, payers and providers.  • Leadership with ownership: set direction, make evidence-based decisions, lead through influence and take accountability for high-impact medical plans, launches and investments.  • Growth and development: expand your expertise through cross-functional and global collaboration, exposure to the product lifecycle, and opportunities to mentor Medical Affairs colleagues.  • Inclusive, collaborative culture: join a team that values diverse perspectives, constructive challenge, curiosity and speaking up.  • A connected scientific campus: work on-site in Gaithersburg, a major US R&D and Oncology campus designed to encourage collaboration and cross-functional science.  What you will do  • Lead US Medical Affairs activities for breast cancer and provide medical leadership to the Core Medical Team.  • Contribute to integrated medical plans and translate strategic imperatives into clear, measurable tactics for the disease area and brands.  • Own the alignment and execution of medical plans, launch plans, resources and budgets in partnership with US commercial, global and functional teams.  • Ensure the medical accuracy, scientific integrity and fair balance of promotional, medical information and learning materials for internal and external audiences.  • Shape evidence-generation priorities with global partners, including medical evidence plans, Externally Sponsored Scientific Research, HEOR studies and outcomes research.  • Build trusted peer relationships with external scientific experts, academic institutions, professional societies, advocacy organizations, payer and provider groups.  • Lead or contribute to national and regional advisory boards, congress activities, scientific exchange and speaker training.  • Provide medical input to product safety in collaboration with Patient Safety physicians.  • Partner closely with Medical Science Liaisons and National Clinical Account Managers to support key accounts appropriately.  • Align the US strategy with the Global Medical Affairs Leader and other global stakeholders.  • Guide and mentor Medical Affairs colleagues, sharing expertise and raising scientific and strategic capability across the team.  What you bring  Essential requirements  • Doctorate degree in Medicine (MD or DO), PhD, PharmD or equivalent, with relevant experience.  • At least 5 years of related experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, clinical practice or a research institution. • 1-3 years in Headquarters base Medical Affairs role • 1-3 years of experience supporting oncology in a country, regional or global organization.  • Demonstrated ability to develop
