About the role

The Test Manager leads the Quality Engineering function across multiple product portfolios, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and aligned with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will provide leadership, direction and coaching to Test Leads and Quality Engineers while establishing consistent quality practices, governance, automation standards and delivery frameworks across distributed teams. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Delivery, Operations and executive stakeholders to define and execute the Quality Engineering strategy, drive automation maturity and responsible AI-assisted testing, and improve release confidence. This role balances strategic leadership, people management, technical direction, delivery governance and continuous improvement within an automation-first, Agile and DevSecOps environment. Key Responsibilities: • Define and execute the Quality Engineering strategy and roadmap. • Lead, mentor, and grow Test Leads and Quality Engineers. • Establish quality standards, governance, and release readiness processes. • Drive automation maturity and continuous testing across the SDLC. • Manage QA capacity planning, budgeting, and vendor relationships. • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. • 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering with leadership experience. • Proven experience leading Quality Engineering strategy, governance, and testing practices at scale. • Strong knowledge of test automation, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery. • Hands-on exposure to tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Cucumber, SOAP UI, and similar platforms. • Experience in functional, integration, performance, and security testing. • People leadership experience including hiring, mentoring, workforce planning, and vendor management. • Knowledge of AI-assisted testing and automation practices. • Exposure to AWS or Azure environments. • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent certification is desirable.
