We’re seeking a Risk Manager to join Capital One’s Enterprise Risk Management team. The Risk Manager will have the opportunity to apply their risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management initiatives, including implementing solutions to ensure Capital One’s continued stability and success. Responsibilities: • Lead cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize risk processes • Leverage data analysis and operational insights to identify core problems and formulate effective solutions • Collaborate with 1st Line and 2nd Line stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent execution across business lines • Partner with technology, product, and data teams to implement required system and process updates • Design and implement risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness and process health • Lead training across lines of defense to ensure consistent adoption and execution • Establish and manage guidance to ensure consistent execution across business lines • Deliver reporting and executive-level presentations that provide leadership with real-time risk visibility • Develop practical solutions to improve risk management processes using data and technology • Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basis Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience • At least 3 years of Risk Management experience Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in process management • 3+ years of experience in responding to and interacting with internal audit or regulatory agencies • Strong subject matter expertise in controls development, controls management, controls testing, and reporting activities • Experience working in an iterative, highly collaborative environment • Experience working in the financial services industry • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
