Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a critical second-line-of-defense function responsible for defining the bank’s risk management architecture. At ERM, we partner extensively across all businesses at Capital One, giving us influence and visibility across the entire enterprise. We’re seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join Capital One’s Enterprise Risk Management team. The Senior Risk Manager will have the opportunity to apply their risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management initiatives, including implementing solutions to ensure Capital One’s continued stability and success. Responsibilities: • Lead cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize risk processes • Leverage data analysis and operational insights to identify core problems and formulate effective solutions • Collaborate with 1st Line and 2nd Line stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent execution across business lines • Partner with technology, product, and data teams to implement required system and process updates • Design and implement risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness and process health • Lead training across lines of defense to ensure consistent adoption and execution • Establish and manage guidance to ensure consistent execution across business lines • Design and manage reporting that provide real-time visibility into process health for leadership • Provide subject matter expertise on risk processes when representing ERM in projects and other meetings • Deliver reporting and executive-level presentations that provide leadership with real-time risk visibility • Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations such as Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Business Risk Offices, Operational Risk Sub-Steward organizations, Information Technology, Basel Program, Internal Audit, Regulator Relations, etc. to achieve objectives. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree or military experience • At least 3 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience • At least 5 years of Project Management experience • At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients Preferred Qualifications: • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk • 7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience • PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM) • Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
