Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a senior executive to design future state Financial Planning & Analysis processes with a focus on enabling a business performance management system that connects strategy, financial plans, and operational plans and execution. Essential Functions • Partner with other FP&A leaders to design AI-native planning, forecasting, scenario, and insight-generation processes that reduce manual effort, improve cycle time, and increase predictive decision support. • Assess the need for, design and implement an enterprise Integrated Business Planning (IBP) model, including governance forums, cadence, decision inputs, and clear connection points to leadership routines. • Ensure FP&A processes support and enable IBP by aligning planning cycles, forecast outputs, performance reviews, and executive decision integration. • Define and influence the advancement of Extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A) capabilities that connect operational plans—such as workforce, sales, volume, capacity, and delivery—with financial outcomes. • Drive enterprise planning coherence by working with the FP&A methodologies and governance team to align assumptions, business drivers, timelines, methodologies, and decision outputs across Corporate Finance, Business Line Finance, Strategy, and functional partners. • Eliminate fragmented planning approaches and shadow models through standardized constructs, integrated data flows, clear ownership, and scalable process design. • Partner with Finance, Strategy, HR, Sales, technology, and other xP&A partners to create one interconnected enterprise operating plan. • Continuously improve enterprise planning, scenario depth, sensitivity analysis, and choice architecture so leaders can evaluate growth, cost, capital, capacity, and execution trade-offs with greater confidence. What Success Looks Like • A single, interconnected enterprise operating plan links strategy, financial commitments, operational drivers, and execution choices. • FP&A, xP&A, and IBP routines operate as one integrated performance system rather than disconnected processes. • Financial and operational plans are consistently reconciled, with reduced rework, fewer shadow models, and clearer ownership of assumptions and drivers. • Planning and forecasting cycles are faster, more automated, and more predictive, with AI-native processes reducing manual effort and accelerating insight. • Leaders have timely visibility into performance risks, opportunities, scenario implications, and enterprise trade-offs. • Strategy, plans, forecasts, and execution are consistently connected in executive forums and decision materials. • Evolution of planning processes is achieved with strong management of change. Preferred Skills/Experience • Enterprise FP&A, planning, forecasting, and performance management expertise, including OPEX, CAPEX, financial statement drivers, and scenario economics. • Integrated Business Planning and xP&A design capability, with the ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes and leadership decisions. • Strong process architecture and operating model design skills, including governance, cadence, decision rights, handoffs, control
