We are recruiting for junior and mid-level engineers with backgrounds in Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineering to support our team in Chandler, AZ. Due to the nature of this work, this position will be 100% on-site. Key Skills and Responsibilities • Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains • Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code • Work with 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance • Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code • Experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools What Does Success Look Like? As a successful employee, you will: • Be an active and integral member of your team • Channel your enthusiasm to innovate • Be part of a supportive team that develops and deploys technologies that matter to our national security • Work with agility, flexibility, and collaboration to explore creative ideas Basic Qualifications for Levels 1-4: • Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of professional experience (Level 1) • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 2) • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3) • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4) • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. • Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope • Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline • Top Secret clearance Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
