We are looking for you to join our team as a Digital Engineering Manager based out of San Diego, CA. What You'll Get to Do: The digital engineering manager will lead a sub-department of approximately 12-15 digital/VHDL engineers and managers working within the San Diego Engineering and Sciences (E&S) Software and Digital Technologies (SWDT) department. The successful candidate will lead direct report employees based on organizational goals, program activity, and company policies. Specific responsibilities include coordinating with programs for staffing, recruiting, training, preparing and delivering performance reviews to employees, evaluating/recommending employees for promotions, evaluating salaries and coordinating with Human Resources on potential adjustments, assisting employees in preparing performance goals, providing career guidance to employees and counseling employees on their performance as necessary as well as working to refine the system development process and tools utilized for program excellence and design assurance. Program Execution and Engineering Excellence are our driving forces. The qualified candidate shall also be a technical performer, working approximately 80% directly on programs involving communications systems within our Fighter Networked Systems (FNS) and Advanced Comms & Networks (ACN) operating units (OU), representing our Engineering and Sciences organization. This manager of managers will support and be accountable for goals including: • Cultivate an inclusive and engaging workplace.
