Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Project Manager/Sr. Principal Project Manager. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position is contingent upon contract awards. What You’ll Get To Do: • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management, subcontracts/contracts management, planning, project team, and line management. • Primary focus will be support of Sentinel products coming from approved suppliers at Roy, UT. • Review status of projects and Earned Value performance; manage schedules and prepare status reports. • Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. • Support sub-contracting effort either via IWO or supplier. • Help support risk and opportunity management for the team. • Help organize and plan out summit meetings and develop agendas with the assistance of engineering team. • Integrate yourself with other project managers on other IPTs. • Work closely with Engineering team and Global Supply Chain (GSC) to translate engineering needs to PO generation. • Support leadership with supplier deliverable timelines and PO execution. • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
