About the role

Flink Robotics is a fast-paced startup, out of ETH Zurich's Computational Robotics Lab, building autonomous robots that can handle any item, including ones they've never seen before. We're revolutionising material handling, from stacking boxes to sorting parcels and unloading goods. Are you a student or recent graduate eager to kickstart your career? We're looking for a talented Software Engineer ready to apply their skills to robotics, simulation, and tons of data. Who you are • Eager to join a VC-backed startup and take on real responsibility from the start • Comfortable when working independently • Passionate about applying computer vision and ML to real, physical-world problems • Proactive, curious and a clear communicator (fluent English) What you bring • A Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science or a related field • Strong coding skills in C++ • Independent problem solver and creative thinker • Low-ego collaboration: people love working with you • First project or work experience in software, robotics or a related field • Builder mentality: you can implement algorithms from scratch, from prototype to tests and iterations What you'll do • Computer Vision (camera streams, point clouds, etc.) • Machine Learning and Numerical Optimization • PyTorch, C++, CUDA What you’ll get • Take responsibility from day 1: we are still a small team, and every team member has a big impact • Immediate impact: code on robots within days • Join a team of robotics pioneers at an early-stage, VC-backed startup • Competitive salary and top-tier gear • Work in a central office in Zurich or partially remote • Possibility to transition to a full-time position, or to work part-time alongside your studies Note: We do not accept applications for fully remote work and are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
