As a Senior Specialist Financial Controls and Compliance, you will play a critical role in supporting financial reporting, fixed asset management, general ledger activities, and compliance processes while partnering with business leaders to enable informed decision-making. You will leverage your financial expertise to deliver accurate reporting, maintain strong internal controls, support key projects, and provide reliable financial insights that contribute to Novartis' continued success. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep expertise in financial accounting, compliance, and business partnering within a highly collaborative environment. Job Description Key Responsibilities · Support financial activities, business decision-making processes, and strategic projects through accurate financial analysis and expert guidance. · Provide proactive support for general ledger activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely financial reporting. · Prepare and deliver financial analyses and reports with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and data integrity. · Ensure timely internal and external reporting, including statutory, tax-related, and Financial Consolidation and Reporting System requirements. · Act as first-line support for SAP issues involving fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger processes while contributing to key projects. Essential Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a must. · 3 -5+ years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger activities, fixed asset accounting, financial controls, and reporting processes. · Knowledge of financial compliance requirements, internal controls, audit support activities, and financial reporting standards. · Experience working with SAP or comparable enterprise financial systems. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions. Desirable Requirements · Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry. · Experience supporting financial transformation projects, process optimization, or continuous improvement initiatives. · Experience leveraging analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools, and digital technologies to improve reporting accuracy, compliance monitoring, financial insights, and operational effectiveness.
