About the role
At Klim, we work with farmers and businesses to make regenerative agriculture a scalable and economically viable part of the food system. As a German AgriTech company, we empower farmers in improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, and capturing carbon, while generating reliable income through our platform. Backed by €22 million in Series A funding, we are scaling our impact internationally and partnering with clients from the food and non-food industry. Since 2020, we have worked with more than 4,000 farmers across 900,000 hectares, covering more than 5% of Germany’s agricultural land. If you are motivated by building a more sustainable food system and contributing to measurable climate impact, Klim offers the opportunity to do so at scale. Your mission: Own the design experience of Klim end to end, and build the AI-augmented design process that lets a small design team and product managers ship coherent, high-quality work at scale. You'll do the hardest design work yourself and raise the level of everyone who designs around you. This means it is a player/coach role with 60% hands-on design and 40% building the system and process around you. What you'll do Product experience: • Own the end-to-end experience across farmer and partner journeys, from onboarding through assessment, planning and improvement, verification and reporting and paymnet, shaping journeys and value moments with product managers, not only interfaces. • Design the most complex and brand-critical work, from wireframes and flows to polished, high-fidelity interaction and visual design. • Cut farmer effort, with a focus on "enter once, used everywhere" data capture, simpler onboarding and self-serve help. • Run continuous research, usability testing and A/B tests with farmers and partners, and track experience metrics (activation, task completion, time-to-value, satisfaction) with product and analytics. AI-augmented design process: • Own and deliver Klim's AI-augmented design model maintaining highest quality while enabling others to deliver simpler design needs under your guidance • Own the canonical design system with engineering: components and page templates, with code as the source of truth and Figma kept in sync. • Define the handoff contract and the automated and human coherence checks, using AI tooling (e.g. Claude Code, Claude Design, Figma, Storybook) and rules AI tools can follow. • Measure and improve the process: self-serve share, first-pass coherence, review time, engineering rework and ticket-to-design lead time. Engineering efficiency and quality: • Partner with engineering leads to simplify and standardise how UI is built, so new features reuse proven patterns instead of starting from scratch. • Reduce design-related rework by making requirements, states and edge cases explicit before build. • Govern the intake of new patterns and log any exceptions, so the system grows deliberately rather than drifting. Coach: • Enable product managers to design simpler elements well within the system through templates, patterns, content rules and review. • Build design rituals (critique, design reviews, a shared quality bar) and make the case for design decisions with evidence across product, engineering and commercial teams. What you bring: • 5+ years in product design, including senior or lead roles owning complex B2B or data-heavy products end to end. • Exceptional interaction and visual design craft, with mastery of Figma. You'll personally deliver the most complex and brand-critical work. • A portfolio that shows product-level impact (engagement, adoption, satisfaction), not only interface quality. • Proven ability to improve engagement and strong plus for experience running A/B tests and product experiments and strong research
