About the role
As a Customer Information Manager at the Bank of Communications Frankfurt Branch, you will be joining a dynamic team within a reputable global banking institution. Established in 2007, our Frankfurt branch serves as a crucial link between China and Europe, facilitating international trade and financial transactions. With a dedicated workforce of around 40 Chinese and German professionals across seven specialized departments, our branch offers a collaborative and multicultural work environment. You will play a pivotal role in managing customer information, ensuring efficient and secure handling of client data to support our diverse range of services including payment processing, foreign exchange trading, and cash management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of bridging financial operations between continents while enhancing client relationships through effective information management. Tasks • Perform internal control duties within the department’s middle office, including ongoing monitoring of corporate clients’ operations and key market information relating to their industries and regions, as well as early-warning and ad hoc monitoring of existing credit clients. • Oversee post-loan monitoring activities, reminding and assisting relationship managers to complete periodic monitoring, on-site visits, KYC due diligence, PD rating updates, and loan administration tasks in the 531 system in a timely manner. • Compile business statistics for the Marketing Department, respond to internal and external enquiries, and provide accurate and timely business data and client information. • Handle account opening for non-credit clients, KYC updates, and the initiation of payment and foreign exchange transactions. • Centrally manage and archive business documentation and client records. • Manage and use the department’s email inbox. • Draft written materials, update the Operating Handbook, organise and arrange meetings, and prepare memoranda. • Perform other tasks assigned by the department supervisor. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline. • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or FRM are highly desirable. • Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. • Proficiency in Chinese and English, with basic German language skills (CEFR level A1/A2 or higher). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Previous experience in banking or corporate finance is preferred.
