Job Description: In the Finance and Corporate Strategy team we ensure that the business’s capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused. Job Family Definition: Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs E2E applications for Finance Digital transformation. Management Level Definition: Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision. What you’ll do: Responsibilities: • Data engineering: Design, develop, test, and maintain batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources. • Data platforms: Build and optimise data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, schemas, and curated data sets for analytics and operational use. • Full-stack delivery: Develop responsive web applications using modern front-end frameworks and scalable back-end services. • Performance and security: Improve application, query, and pipeline performance while following secure coding and privacy standards. • Collaboration: Partner with product owners, architects, analysts, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment. • Operations: Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, document solutions, and continuously improve platform reliability. What you need to bring: Education and Experience Required: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. • Typically 2-4 years experience. Knowledge and Skills: • Using software systems design tools and languages. • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills. • 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, including meaningful ownership across both data and application layers. • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, plus Java, C#, or Node.js/TypeScript for back-end development. • Hands-on experience with React or Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive UI development. • Experience building ETL/ELT solutions with tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or comparable services. • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, query optimisation, and distributed systems. • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including storage, compute, identity, serverless, and managed data services. • Practical knowledge of Git, automated testing, containers, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code. •
