Job Category Technology Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $109,300.00 - $180,200.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the support and project initiatives of Desktop Services within the designated region. This position works a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will need to work a hybrid work schedule of 3 days onsite 2 days remote from either the St. Paul, MN; Hunt Valley, MD; or Hartford, CT. What Will You Do? • Responsible for determining the strategic direction for the services and functions performed by regional staff and for controlling the processes, training and support tools. • Accountable for all operational and human resource functions for staff in their assigned region including but not limited to managing travel, overtime, and regional expenses. • Involved in organizational and technical decisions for Desktop Services that impact the availability, integrity, performance and timeliness of services provided. • Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with customers and corporate IT areas. • Provides sound direction in managing Desktop Services activities in order to reduce potential impact on corporate profitability and expense reduction efforts. • Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? • 5 or more years of customer facing end user Technology support experience. • 5 years of experience managing technical teams. • Possesses conceptual knowledge of current voice and data technologies within Travelers. • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the business environment and the impact of technology decisions on that environment. • Demonstrates a solid understanding of corporate human resource policies and procedures. • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. • Demonstrates a solid understanding and accountability of the impact of each decision on our business customers and the corporation. • Able to adjust priorities in a dynamic fashion to account for changes in the business. What is a Must Have? • 3 years of customer facing end user Technology support experience. • Previous managerial experience. • Active Driver's License.
