About the role
Job Description The Role We are seeking an Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead daily inbound and outbound operations in a warehouse distribution center. You will oversee a represented workforce team, manage inventory, maintain quality standards, and support timely shipments to customers. This role requires rotating between first- and second-shift schedules based on business needs and may include nights and weekends. You will receive on-the-job training and professional development while helping strengthen safety, operational performance, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do • Oversee and guide department operations using standardized processes and methods. • Lead, train, coach, develop, recognize, and evaluate union team members and direct reports. • Monitor inventory, warehouse performance reports, costs, and Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators. • Cultivate a safety culture by implementing and enforcing company safety rules, policies, and applicable industry regulations. • Implement lean principles and identify improvement opportunities through tools such as layered audits. • Achieve quality standards by communicating goals, leveraging available resources, and solving operational problems. • Maintain effective working relationships with employees, union representatives, business partners, peers, and the management team. • Administer company policies consistently and model GM cultural behaviors, integrity, and ethical conduct. • Complete administrative tasks, including timekeeping and maintaining departmental records and reports. • Perform other duties as assigned. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • 3+ years of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment. • Willingness to work first or second shift, as determined by business needs, and nights or weekends when required. • Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze data. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal formats. • Ability to organize work and solve operational problems.
