Your responsibilities As a Senior Architect (all genders), you will design software and solution architectures for complex digital projects. You will explain decisions clearly, test key assumptions in practice and remain closely involved with the engineering teams right through to implementation. Your impact in practice:  • Architecture Impact: You design implementable architectures for web platforms, digital services, APIs and integrations using appropriate CMS and cloud components. • Business Impact: You evaluate potential solutions based on customer benefit, feasibility, security, operations and cost-effectiveness. • Collaboration Impact: You clarify business objectives with clients and foster a shared understanding across engineering, consulting and delivery. • Delivery Impact: You validate critical assumptions through prototyping or code reviews and see architectural decisions through to implementation. • Ownership & Communication: You document key decisions, explain conflicting objectives and ensure transparency regarding risks and dependencies. • Growth & Capability: You further develop architectural knowledge and standards within the team and provide guidance to engineers through reviews and mentoring. Why you • You have been responsible for digital platforms or services across multiple project phases in the roles of engineer and architect. •  You are able to develop software yourself using a modern backend or frontend stack. Java/Spring Boot, Kotlin, Node.js and TypeScript with Vue/Nuxt, React or Angular are all a good fit for us; the specific stack is not crucial. • You are proficient in API and integration design, data modelling and the fundamentals of scalable and maintainable systems. • You are familiar with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and have practical experience with CI/CD and containers. • You can explain architectural decisions clearly, mediate conflicting objectives and test key assumptions with the team in a practical way. • You provide guidance to engineers and support technical design and effort estimates. • You have practical experience of AI-assisted development using coding agents and can help shape effective workflows as well as rules for quality and security. • You are fluent in both German and English. • You live in Munich or the surrounding area and can come into the office at short notice if required. There is no fixed office attendance requirement.
