Responsibilities may include the following and other duties as assigned: · Evaluates, selects, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company products. · Oversees the installation, qualification, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. · Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. · Studies equipment performance and reliability. · Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. · Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams. · Manages spare parts to ensure availability for equipment maintenance and repair while minimizing downtime. · Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules. · Provides training to production personnel, technicians, and engineers. · Leads or participates in development, training, qualification, and validation activities for product or technology transfers. · Designs machine layouts within plant facilities to optimize efficiency and productivity. · Partners with Manufacturing Engineers to set up equipment and bring it to the required operating parameters. Required Knowledge and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline. · Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices or other regulated industries. · Hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment installation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. · Hands-on experience using Minitab for data analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation. · Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement programs. · Strong written and verbal proficiency in English and Malay. · Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods, typically 2 to 6 months or longer depending on training needs. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience supporting radio frequency (RF) equipment, molding-machine setup, ovens, coating machines, sealers, or bench-top equipment with rotating or moving mechanical parts. · Practical knowledge of project
