About the role
Job Description The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our Engineering Group at Romulus Propulsion Systems. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): • Apply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to identify and eliminate waste, standardize processes, and improve overall operational efficiency. • Conduct in-depth Process Engineering analyses, including process flow PFMEA, cycle time studies, and bottleneck identification. • Manage existing processes, and develop opportunities to improve uptimes, cycle times, adn throughput, including implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement in a unionized environment. • Prepare detailed analysis, related to manufacturing processes and projects. Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications): • 2 years of engineering experience • Experience working in a manufacturing environment • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience • Experience planning and executing automation • Lean manufacturing experience • Expertise in Process Engineering techniques, including process optimization and troubleshooting • Experience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Ability to work overtime and off shift as needed What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): • 2+ years of experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer • Bachelor's degree in Engineering • Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment • Experience executing cobots • Understanding of engine component manufacturing • GMS experience GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
