About the role
As a Consultant, you will contribute to the delivery of waste management projects from concept through to completion, preparing practical and commercially viable solutions for a range of residential, mixed-use and commercial developments. Working alongside experienced team members, you will build your technical expertise, manage project deliverables and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Preparing waste management strategies, technical reports and supporting documentation for a range of development projects. • Assessing development proposals against relevant waste management standards, guidelines and requirements. • Developing practical waste management solutions for residential, mixed-use and commercial developments. • Managing allocated project tasks and deliverables to meet agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards. • Liaising with clients, architects, planners, developers and approval authorities to coordinate project requirements. • Supporting the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals and project documentation. • Working closely with senior consultants to deliver quality project outcomes and develop your technical knowledge. • Building and maintaining positive client relationships while identifying opportunities to contribute to ongoing project work. • Contributing to a collaborative team environment and sharing knowledge with colleagues. • Experience in waste management consulting or a related field. • A sound understanding of residential and commercial waste management practices. • An understanding of development approval processes and relevant industry standards and guidelines. • Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Good project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. • The ability to work independently on allocated tasks while collaborating effectively with a wider team. • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • A willingness to continue developing your technical expertise and take on increasing responsibility as you grow within the team.
