About the role
Our vision - your future Cofinity-X is a joint venture founded in 2023 by BASF, BMW Group, Henkel, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, Schaeffler, Siemens, T-Systems, Volkswagen, and ZF. Established by industry experts, our company is primed for growth and is intended to be further led by professionals like yourself. Your mission • Take end-to-end responsibility for our portfolio of large-scale, publicly funded European AI research projects, from kick-off to final reporting • Steer all work packages across multiple projects: plan scope, milestones and deliverables, track progress and resolve dependencies between partners • Manage multi-partner consortia of industrial companies, research institutions and associations across several EU member states • Act as the primary contact for funding bodies and project management agencies, owning interim and final reports, change requests and proof of use • Own project financials in close alignment with Finance, including budget planning, cost tracking, personnel planning and eligibility of costs • Ensure compliance with national and European funding and state aid requirements, including documentation, dissemination and open-source obligations • Work closely with our Machine Learning team to translate project objectives into technical work plans and make sure deliverables land on time and in quality • Coordinate dissemination activities such as publications, open-source releases and events across the dataspace ecosystem (e.g. Catena-X) • Identify project risks early, escalate where needed and drive mitigation Your profile • 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in publicly funded R&D projects with multi-partner consortia (e.g. IPCEI) • Ideally, you have already acted as consortium coordinator and bring experience with dataspaces and a project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) • Solid knowledge of German and European funding frameworks and their financial rules (e.g. AGVO) • Strong technical affinity: you can discuss AI, machine learning and data architectures with engineers at eye level, without writing code yourself • Proven ability to run several complex workstreams in parallel with a high level of structure and reliability • Excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort working with senior representatives from industry, research and public authorities • Fluent German and English, written and spoken Why us? • Hybrid working model • Balanced work-life balance with flexible working hours • Annual training budget for continuous professional and personal development (1.500 EUR) • Free choice of hardware • Monthly lunch subsidy (up to 115 EUR) • Deutschland Ticket and Job Bike for environmentally friendly mobility options • Workation to work remotely from different locations within the EU • We offer every employee a pensions scheme (bAV) with company sponsorship • Regular team events to strengthen cohesion and foster a positive working atmosphere • A modern office with an impressive view of the Cologne Cathedral Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
