This role owns engineering execution, platform architecture, cloud strategy, cybersecurity, interoperability, AI enablement, data platforms, developer experience, and operational excellence across the foundational technology ecosystem supporting Abbott Diagnostics’ operational and clinical digital solutions, including AlinIQ Insight. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong foundation in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud computing, and enterprise-scale software development. · Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, or digital product development, including leadership responsibility for large, mission-critical software platforms. · Ten or more years of experience leading global engineering organizations comprising software engineers, architects, cloud engineers, data engineers, DevOps engineers, cybersecurity professionals, quality engineers, and technical program leaders across multiple geographic regions. · Five or more years of experience working with onshore and offshore development teams with a history of effective collaboration and outcomes-based partnership. · Demonstrated success architecting, building, deploying, and operating enterprise-grade SaaS, cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and data-intensive platforms supporting large-scale commercial software products and digital ecosystems. · Proven experience developing platform capabilities and shared services that enable multiple product teams to accelerate delivery through reusable infrastructure, platform APIs, identity services, data services, and developer tooling. · Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, distributed systems, API-first development, event-driven architectures, platform engineering, and modern software design patterns. · Significant experience leading modernization initiatives that transform legacy applications, client-server systems, and monolithic architectures into scalable, resilient, and highly
