This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Melbourne, FL . The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Vehicle Engineering directorate. Essential Functions: The selected candidate will be expected to research, develop, design, and test electrical; components, equipment, systems and networks. Other duties include: • Involvement in multiple aspects of aircraft subsystem development including electrical design, analysis, requirements, lab testing, data post processing, and issue troubleshooting. Aircraft subsystems may include, but are not limited to, Avionic System Architecture, Cable Design, and Electrical Power Generation & Distribution. Basic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Electrical Engineer level (T01) or an Electrical Engineer level (T02). Basic Qualifications for an Associate Electrical Engineer (T01): A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027. • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree. • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start. Basic Qualifications for an Electrical Engineer (T02): A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027 or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of electrical engineering experience by August 2027. • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree. • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
