About the role
Job Purpose The role has end-to-end accountability for transformation / transition readiness and onboarding of GFS activities / people into the GCC Hub in India. It is responsible for the successful deployment of the agreed operating model for in-scope receiving teams, working closely with GFS Tower leads and Strategy, Value Delivery and Transformation function to deliver agreed transformation tollgates and outcomes. The role provides interim oversight of operational and people for onboarded teams until the steady-state organizational structure and local operational leadership are fully established. Key Responsibilities 1. Operating Model Deployment & Onboarding • Own the overall readiness of the receiving organisation in India for the transition of GFS/Finance activities from existing hubs into the GCC India Hub. • Lead the deployment of the target operating model for in-scope processes and teams, ensuring alignment with tower leads, program / strategy lead and functional stakeholders. • Partner with tower leads, hub leadership, project teams, local HR and engagement teams to embed the target operating model, culture and ways of working in the GCC India Hub. • Ensure GFS India teams are fully onboarded, set up and supported. • Drive and support deployment plans in which the receiving teams progressively assume responsibility and accountability for service delivery, including ramp-up governance and exit criteria decisions. 2. Delivery, Quality, Risk & Control • Oversee timely and high-quality completion of key deliverables and artefacts (e.g. SOPs, RACIs, KPIs, controls, SLAs, exit criteria) for each transformation transition phase. • Monitor the appropriateness, capacity and quality of work delivered by receiving teams during Knowledge Transfer, pilot and stabilization phases; identify issues and take corrective actions where required. • Ensure strong governance and risk management throughout the transformation transition, including adherence to GSK control frameworks and compliance requirements. • Act as the primary escalation point for receiving team issues, risks and decisions; drive timely resolution of process design issues, unclear ownership and handoff gaps identified during knowledge transfer, pilot and stabilization. • Manage team space, workplace logistics and system access requirements in coordination with local business services and Tech. 3. Stakeholder Management, Change & Communications • Act as the primary representative from a transformation prospective of the GFS GCC India Hub to the central program / strategy lead, providing progress reporting and escalating risks, issues, scope changes and dependencies. • Work closely with Change Management and Communications to prepare the region and hub for adoption and embedding of the new operating model, ensuring consistent messaging across sending and receiving hubs. • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across GFS, regional Finance leadership, Tech, HR and other enabling functions to support decision-making and issue resolution. • Feed lessons learned and best practices into the central program, supporting a continuous improvement culture and making the transition methodology more repeatable and efficient over time. 4. People & Resource Management • During the transition phase provide interim people and operational oversight and support for newly onboarded GFS teams until the new leadership structure is in place. • Manage local attrition risk and mitigation plans during ramp-up; monitor team capacity, workload balancing and prioritization. • Ensure adequate cross-training and succession coverage for critical roles during and after transition. • Escalate resource constraints, critical skill gaps or structural issues that m
