About the role
The role / impact As a Senior Events Manager, you will lead the strategy and end-to-end execution of Xero-led and sponsored events across Canada. You will craft memorable event experiences—including CA Roadshows and Xerocon—that deepen our community's connection to our platform and align with broader business goals. In this role, you will also act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and provide guidance and mentorship across the marketing team. Your work will directly support brand presence and growth in the region. By taking full ownership of event concepts, budgets, operational delivery, and post-event analytics, you will ensure our brand promise comes to life while continually raising the bar for event excellence. The team / how they connect You will join our North American Marketing Events team, working closely alongside local and global brand, sales, communications, legal, and finance partners. We operate collaboratively to deliver cohesive go-to-market initiatives and meaningful event experiences for our accounting partners and small business communities. Together, we combine strategic insight with operational precision to ensure every event delivers clear impact. Initially, you will focus on - Planning and executing flagship Canadian events, including CA Roadshows, Xerocon, and external industry sponsorships. - Managing event budgets, venue selection, vendor contract negotiations, and on-site delivery across all workstreams. - Leveraging event technology platforms and evaluating performance data to deliver strategic post-event recommendations and ROI insights. - Optimising operational processes and frameworks to build consistency, efficiency, and scale across all regional event activities. Where and how you can work This is a full-time contract (maternity cover) position based in Canada. Here are some of the things we are looking for - You bring comprehensive experience in end-to-end event management, marketing project delivery, and event technology platforms. - A strong ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate vendor contracts, and collaborate across cross-functional marketing and sales teams. - You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous eye for detail across every aspect of event delivery. - Proven skill in managing complex budgets, analysing event performance data, and translating key learnings into strategic recommendations. - A background in adapting smoothly to changing priorities while balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution. The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000 – $110,000 Individual pay is determined by various factors, including geography, level of experience, and the specific skills you bring to the role.
