Title and Summary Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, NAM Overview: Responsible for budgeting and forecasting short/long-term plans, as well as preparing and analyzing internal and external financial reports for US Region and consolidation for NAM. Activities include managing risks and opportunities, monitoring the organization's revenue and expenses while considering macro-economic factors Role: - Plays a leading role in partnering with business units, regions, business partners and/or corporate to manage major aspects of financial reporting (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting) - Communicates the key drivers behind the budget and forecast, linking the financial performance to strategy; develops quarterly operating reviews and CEO decks and communicates results to leadership. - Advises group/business unit leadership on external factors that affect business performances, leveraging subject matter expertise [SME] of budgeting, long range planning [LRP] and forecasting of overall business segments and divisions. - Embodies the Leading Beyond Finance [LBF] initiative by playing a leading role in partnering with business units, regions, business partners and/or corporate to develop strategies and identify revenue opportunities. - Works cross-functionally with business partners to ensure alignment with targets; performs variance analysis to deliver and articulate arguments in an effective manner. - Drives the process improvement initiatives related to budgeting, forecasting, systems and other key areas; proactively improves upon efficiencies and streamlines the overarching process. - Manages team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees as an organizational resource All About You: - Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred - Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel: pivots, lookups, index, sumif), Oracle, Hyperion and Tableau - Track record building internal and external business partnerships; develops and leverages key relationships to understand the diverse needs and objectives of various stakeholders - Extensive experience modelling and performing predictive analytics to critically review and enhance complex financial and operational analysis and scenarios - Managed a diverse, multi-functional finance organization - Called upon to consult and provide advice and feedback to the business on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging advanced analytical techniques as well as knowledge of outside trends and events - Experience setting strategy for process improvement initiatives along with developing procedures for implementation - Demonstrated successful oversight of the management and resolution of high-risk issues to ensure completeness and efficiency - Successfully embodies change management; oversees corporate cultural initiatives, enhancing the support of an ever-evolving environment to fulfill corporate goals and objectives Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
