About the role

Aerospace Engineering Internship Company: Boeing Aerospace Spain, SL Boeing Global Technology - Europe is seeking an  Aerospace Engineering Intern  to support our team in Madrid, Spain . This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers supporting research activities around airspace integration, operational efficiency and airline operations. As an intern, you will assist with the research and development of data driven solution which may bring Boeing a competitive advantage on how its fleet is managed by customer. You will gain exposure to airline operations, aircraft performance and fuel consumption modeling, data engineering and analytics, aircraft trajectory computation and air traffic management simulations. This role is a great opportunity for a student who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful engineering work that supports Boeing programs. Candidates should be dependable, curious, and willing to take initiative while building technical and professional skills. Exposure to topics such as Communications , Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) data pipelines, System Wide Information Management (SWIM) interfaces or aircraft performance datasets is a plus but not required.   Job details: • Submit your CV or resume and a brief cover note written in English describing relevant experience and interest via the internal recruiting portal or the contact listed in the job posting  • Employer  will not sponsor  applicants for employment  visa  status  • Relocation : This position does not offer relocation based on candidate eligibility  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite • Contract duration – 6-12 months   Position Responsibilities: • Conduct research and development activities in the area of Air Operations Science (AOS), Operational Efficiency and Airline Operations   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Experience or strong interest in Python and/or Matlab • Other programming and/or modelling languages is a plus • Fluent in both verbal and written English • Must be legally able to work in Spain   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Background in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar • Knowledge of Air Traffic Management (ATM) operations and/or airline operations • Exposure to aircraft operational datasets • Basics of data engineering and analytics • Intrinsic aptitude for taking initiative • Ability to take ownership of work activities • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work effectively with a diverse engineering team   Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process   Language Requirements: Not Applicable Education: Not Applicable Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
