About the role
What we are looking for: Are you a 3Cs Designer ninja with a lethal skillset? Are you longing to be part of a world-class international game development team with true professionals in a fun atmosphere? We are looking for an experienced 3Cs Designer to evaluate where we are with our Game through play and tell us what we could do to better it or change. What we will do together: • Design and take ownership of features and mechanics aligned with the creative and game directions. • Leading development efforts and implementation. • Help set quality-bar through hands-on creation and continuous tweaking of 3Cs player mechanics from conception to the final stages of polish. • Standardize, document, and communicate (3C) features to the game team. • Regularly update and maintain the design documentation that will guide interdependent teams. • Collaborate closely with Programming, Art, and Level Design to align on expectations, execution, and integration of your features. • Participate actively in the production of combat prototypes, from a 3Cs perspective. • Adapt to technical and production constraints, reworking your design when needed. • Propose improvements to the different tools and pipelines. • Help to create a safe environment which allows for open dialogue and encourages new creative ideas. What you will bring: • Proven experience working with character, controls, and camera in action-adventure AAA games. • Shipped one or more console/PC title. • Experience in Unreal – UE5, scripting etc. • Solid understanding of game systems, scripting logic and gameplay flow • Excellent knowledge and understanding of video game development processes. • Experience with scripting in Unreal Engine a plus • A passion for games and their development Interested… a bit about Escape Velocity: Escape Velocity is a team of passionate, talented developers working at a studio that offers excellent benefits, on what we believe is a once-in-a-career project with a committed publisher.
