About the role
About the Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work across product engineering and customer operations at a B2B compliance software company. You will turn real-world certification, inspection, and compliance workflows into reliable software and AI-powered tools that make these processes more effective. What You'll Do • Work directly with customer teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance tasks are handled in practice. • Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end features across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer. • Own product areas from early discovery through production, collaborating closely with company leadership. • Ship software quickly, gather feedback by observing real users, and improve your work based on what you learn. • Use judgment to identify which customer requests can serve broader needs and which are specific to one workflow. • Analyze customer documents and work outputs to develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence. What We're Looking For • Three to six years of experience as a software engineer or product engineer, with a track record of shipping production software. • Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with data models and cloud infrastructure. • Experience with AI/ML, large language models, or document intelligence is valuable. • Strong technical fundamentals and experience building products from an early stage or taking substantial ownership of a product area. • Comfort working directly with customers, learning unfamiliar operations, and translating ambiguous needs into practical software. Compensation & Benefits Salary is £100,000 to £160,000 GBP annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Location On-site, five days per week in London, England, United Kingdom.
