In this position, you will join our Manufacturing Operations Organization within our Aeronautics Systems sector as a Composite Bonder – Level 1/2 supporting our Clearfield, UT site. We’re seeking a hands-on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills. This position is for the B-Shift: This is a weekday, night shift position (Mon - Thurs 4pm-2:30am). Please note: Only external candidates and NG employees who are not currently Composite Bonders at the Clearfield site may be considered under this requisition. Essential Functions: • Read and understand blueprints • Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents • Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes • Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle • Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used • Sand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges • Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions • Monitor and verify quality of finished product Basic Qualifications (level 1): • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 months structures/composites experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR completion of approved Aircraft Fabrication or Composites course • This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs.
