The Forward Deployed Engineer sits at the intersection of solution architecture, technical consulting, and hands-on engineering. You’ll work directly with Adobe’s strategic customers to solve complex platform challenges, design scalable architectures, and build solutions that accelerate adoption. You’ll operate in a multi-functional Customer Pod with end-to-end ownership, partnering with customers, product teams, and engineers to turn complex problems into working solutions. What You’ll Do • Partner with strategic customers to understand their architecture, workflows, security requirements, and business objectives. • Translate complex customer problems into scalable solution designs, reference architectures, and working prototypes. • Investigate and resolve production-level platform issues across data ingestion, identity resolution, journey orchestration, and audience activation. • Design and validate enterprise solutions spanning AEP, AJO, Marketo, and adjacent Adobe systems. • Lead architecture workshops, health checks, and technical deep-dives that build customer trust. • Prototype, experiment, and iterate rapidly, using AI-assisted tools as part of your everyday workflow. • Connect customer needs with product and engineering teams, bringing field insights back into the product roadmap. • Own the technical relationship with assigned accounts from discovery through implementation, launch, and expansion. You’ll bring a combination of technical depth, customer empathy, and collaborative problem solving. • Hands-on engineering: You write code, build prototypes, and ship working software. Your architecture decisions are grounded in implementation experience. • Customer empathy: You understand customers’ goals, constraints, and definitions of success and build trusted relationships through empathy and technical expertise. • Collaboration and communication: You work effectively with engineers, architects, product managers, and leaders and communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. • Enterprise architecture: You design end-to-end solutions across products and systems, considering integration, scale, security, and production requirements. • Data expertise: You understand how data is structured, modeled, and moved and can evaluate trade-offs in schema design, identity resolution, and data pipelines. • AI fluency and continuous learning: You embrace AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent to design, prototype, and deliver solutions. • Proactive problem solving: You identify emerging challenges and take initiative to move them toward resolution.
