About the role
The Role Intellect delivers a clinically governed mental health programme to enterprise clients in the mining and resources sector, supporting remote and expatriate workforces. This is not a standard EAP. Cases begin with acute risk assessment on remote sites and run through structured treatment, fitness-for-work assessment and return-to-work clearance, in direct coordination with the client's chaplaincy, medical and people teams. This role covers the client's United Kingdom operations and a West African project site where the working language is French. It is a combined clinical delivery and case management role: the postholder conducts the assessments, delivers the therapy, writes the reports and owns the case, rather than coordinating a provider network. That design reflects the absence of an established provider network in the West African market at launch, and gives the client a single clinician who knows each case end to end. Full professional fluency in French and English is a non-negotiable requirement. Welfare calls, clinical assessment, case documentation and client communication in the West African market are conducted in French. Responsibilities Clinical assessment and delivery • Conduct acute risk and welfare assessments for employees referred through the client's escalation pathway, in French or English as required. • Deliver individual counselling and psychotherapy across the supported caseload, virtually. • Conduct fitness-for-work assessments and produce the associated clinical documentation. • Write risk assessments, session documentation, return-to-work memoranda and fitness-for-work reports to a standard that stands up to client and regulatory scrutiny, in the language the case requires. • Delivery is capped so that case management availability is protected. Session load is agreed with the Head of Clinical Operations and reviewed as volume changes. Case management and coordination • Own each case end to end, from referral through assessment, treatment, fitness-for-work and reintegration to closure. • Align the initial support plan with the client's on-site teams, including session volume and cadence, and manage adjustments where clinically indicated. • Coordinate with internal helpline, care excellence and network partnership teams on anything that cannot be delivered directly. • Review the open case list for stalled items and follow up to keep cases moving. Clinical risk oversight and governance • Confirm risk tiering against the client's framework and set review cadence and monitoring requirements. • Make the clinical decisions the pathway requires, including disputed risk ratings and medical evaluation pathways where an employee declines therapy. • Escalate to the Head of Clinical Operations where a case exceeds the scope of remote delivery or requires in-person intervention. • Work within the differing regulatory, medical and emergency-escalation environments of each market, and flag where local pathways do not support the agreed protocol. Clinical protocols and client enablement • Co-develop and maintain the clinical protocols, risk frameworks and SOPs the client's on-site teams operate to, including French-language versions. • Design and deliver clinical training and framework guidance to client-side staff who are not clinicians, in French and English. • Build out the in-market provider network alongside Network Partnerships, so that in-person and overflow capacity exists as the programme scales. Client relationship, insights and reporting • Act as the named clinical contact for the client's chaplaincy, medical and health and safety leads in both markets, responding within the core window to queries that are frequently unscheduled and time-critical. • Produce the case tracker and mon
