Senior Software Development Engineer (Java)

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, your primary focus will be developing complex cloud applications as part of the Altium 365 R&D team.   A Day in the Life of Our Senior Backend Developer • Work with Java, AWS, multi-tenant architecture, and distributed high-load systems. • Solve technical challenges at the intersection of engineering software, electronics, and cloud services. • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver reliable, scalable features. • In a team, contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement. • Share knowledge and help strengthen the team’s engineering practices. • You are proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning. • You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and are open to different perspectives. • You think beyond the immediate solution and anticipate problems early in development. • You adapt well to changing priorities and requirements. • You take ownership of commitments and see work through to completion.   Required Technology Experience • Experience designing and developing backend services and APIs. • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, and RDS. • Understanding of microservices and multi-tenant architectures. • Experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL. • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Experience working with distributed systems and production cloud environments.   Nice to Have • Experience with .NET • Experience modernizing or integrating complex enterprise applications. • Knowledge of high-load systems, performance optimization, or cloud observability. • Experience with Firebird database.
