If this sounds right up your alley, please submit an application. We look forward to getting to know you! Also, feel free to check out why: • Business Insider named us an “enterprise startup to bet your career on” • Forbes’ Cloud 100 recognized us as one of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world • Deloitte Tech Fast 500 ranked us as the 17th fastest growing tech company in the Bay Area, and 96th in North America • Quartz ranked us the #1 best company for remote workers We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Golang) to join our Platform team . Our platform is a large-scale system combining a Ruby on Rails monolith with a growing ecosystem of Go microservices. In this role, you will build and maintain business logic and enterprise-grade features for the Workato platform, including on-premise features, authentication, caching, work queuing, and APIs. You will also be expected to: • Design, build, and maintain Go microservices with a focus on correctness and reliability. • Implement business logic and enterprise-quality standards across the platform. • Collaborate with Infra and SRE teams to ensure high availability and scalability requirements are met. • Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle. • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. • Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems. Product & Technology Context: • Strong web development background, with experience building user-facing products — including UI, business logic, and integrations with external APIs. • Product-minded engineering experience: you understand how technology ties back to user and business needs, not just infrastructure. • Track record of shipping user-facing business features across product platforms, developer experience platforms, or other customer-facing surfaces. • Solid production experience — typically 7+ years — with the depth and maturity to build and support systems in production. • Clear understanding of how web applications work end-to-end, and how the different pieces fit together to deliver a product or business outcome. • Depth and consistency in technical background — we value engineers who've built real expertise over time, rather than hopping across many different stacks. • Our core platform is a Ruby on Rails monolith, with some Go services handling more focused functions alongside the Ruby/monolith team. Experience with these is a plus, but we care most about strong engineering fundamentals and product experience. • This role isn't primarily ML/LLM-focused, so candidates whose recent experience has been mostly in ML/LLM work may not be the strongest fit here.
