The Impact You’ll Make We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team of backend and DevOps experts. In this role, you will design and implement scalable, resilient backend services that power products used by millions of users. You’ll tackle complex engineering challenges, from extracting services from a monolith to designing robust APIs and data migrations, while ensuring performance, stability, and maintainability. What You’ll Own & Drive • Engineering Excellence & Scalability – Architect and implement backend systems that are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting millions of active users. Ensure high availability and reliability through thoughtful system design. • Service Development Lifecycle – Build and maintain services from initial model design to production support. Contribute across all phases, including prototyping, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. • Code Quality & Best Practices – Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards and mentor peers on engineering best practices. • Complex Problem-Solving – Tackle challenging engineering problems such as decomposing monolithic applications into microservices, managing large-scale data migrations, and optimizing system performance. • Observability & Resilience – Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing practices to ensure system health and reliability. Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks. • Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with DevOps, product managers, and other engineers to ensure smooth integrations and high-quality deliverables.
