US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
AppsFlyer is known for its massive backend production. At any given moment thousands of servers are consuming 200+ billion mobile app events daily, crunching our users' data, serving requests, and communicating on a massive scale. To achieve such scale, our data & microservice architecture is built with the best and latest cutting-edge technologies such as Node.js, Go, Kafka, GraphQL, Neo4j, Redis, BigQuery, AWS, and many more…
The SaaSLab group is part of the AFOS (AppsFlyer Operating System) unit which owns the SaaS platform and control plane of AppsFlyer — the foundational layer that manages users, accounts, billing, API gateway, authentication, permissions, and business integrations. SaaSLab's systems serve as the backbone for every product and feature at AppsFlyer, handling millions of API calls daily and supporting thousands of enterprise customers worldwide.
We are looking for an exceptional Team Leader to lead the Domain Team within SaaSLab. The Domain Team owns AppsFlyer's core entities — accounts, apps, and users — as well as the onboarding experience. This is a foundational domain that every other product and team at AppsFlyer depends on. You will drive the technical execution and architectural evolution of these systems while ensuring their reliability and scalability as AppsFlyer continues to grow.
The position requires a strong hands-on engineering leader with a solid architectural mindset, experience owning platform-level services, and the ability to balance day-to-day team leadership with long-term technical direction.
What You'll Do
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering growth in design, architecture, and technical craft
• Own the Domain Team's systems end to end — ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence for the core entities (accounts, apps, users) and onboarding flows that underpin every AppsFlyer product
• Drive the design and delivery of scalable backend systems and data flows, including decoupling from legacy data stores, building a resilient domain model, and adopting modern patterns like GraphQL Federation where relevant
• Work closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders, taking accountability for team deliveries and ensuring the team ships on time with excellent quality
• Stay hands-on and involved in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
• Lead technical initiatives, processes, and architectural decisions within the team
• Drive adoption of AI-powered tools and modern SDLC practices to improve team velocity and quality
• Be an active and engaged member of the SaaSLab leadership group, contributing to the unit's engineering vision, processes, and culture
What You Have
• 2+ years of experience managing engineers or technical teams
• 6+ years of development and design experience, with strong backend engineering skills
• Experience working with high-scale, distributed cloud-based architectures
• Strong architectural thinking, with experience leading migrations or modernization initiatives
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to work successfully with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Proven track record of recruiting and managing high-performing engineers
• Experience collaborating within a strong leadership team, with a team-player approach
• High motivation, can-do attitude, and multi-tasking ability
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Bonus Points
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and practices
• Experience with SaaS platform systems — identity, access management, billing, multi-tenancy, API gateways, or similar control-plane domains
• Experience working on core entity systems, identity/account management, or SaaS onboarding
