No salary bar for this route
H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role

Welcome to Planet. We believe in using space to help life on Earth. Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. This constellation delivers an unprecedented dataset of empirical information via a revolutionary cloud-based platform to authoritative figures in commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. We are both a space company and data company all rolled into one. Customers and users across the globe use Planet's data to develop new technologies, drive revenue, power research, and solve our world’s toughest obstacles. As we control every component of hardware design, manufacturing, data processing, and software engineering, our office is a truly inspiring mix of experts from a variety of domains. We have a people-centric approach toward culture and community and we strive to iterate in a way that puts our team members first and prepares our company for growth. Join Planet and be a part of our mission to change the way people see the world. Planet is a global company with employees working remotely world wide and joining us from offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands. About the Role: Planet is expanding its platform capabilities to support customers who require dedicated, in-region, or on-premises instantiations of our core platform. As the Senior Product Manager for Sovereign & Hybrid Deployments, you will drive the productization of our platform for isolated, air-gapped, and hybrid environments. You will serve as the critical bridge between high-touch enterprise customer delivery and scalable core engineering. In this role, you will balance deep customer empathy with product discipline—translating complex operational requirements into repeatable core platform capabilities while establishing clear extension points for Professional Services. This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our Berlin, Haarlem or Ljubljana office 3 days per week. Impact You’ll Own: • Conduct deep-dive discovery with high-security enterprise and government stakeholders to understand their operational realities, using those insights to set clear, defensible product priorities. • Define and structure the explicit, phased customer journey framework—establishing the operational models, readiness criteria, and governance standards for initial platform installation, joint-operations training, and the final transition into fully autonomous, customer-operated environments with zero or limited vendor access. • Translate customer operational and security requirements into clear technical specifications for Core Infrastructure and Engineering teams with detail-oriented accuracy. Synthesizes underlying commonalities across clients who describe similar operational needs using different language, preventing costly, redundant engineering effort. • Define standardized building blocks that allow the core platform to extend safely into varying edge and air-gapped environments without hardcoding custom variants for every deployment. • Define clear boundaries for what belongs in the core platform versus what can be customized. Design clear hooks and interfaces so Professional Services and integration partners can build custom extensions without modifying core platform code. What You Bring: • 6+ years of relevant work experience in Technical Product Management focusing on enterprise platforms, hybrid cloud deployments, or complex infrastructure products. • Ability to sit down with enterprise or government clients, listen to complex operational workflows, and identify the root problem behind divergent customer terminology. • Track record productizing cloud-native software platforms to deploy into customer-managed infrastr
