Firmware Engineer

At CowManager, we develop smart sensor technology that helps dairy farmers worldwide improve the health, fertility and performance of their herd. As a Firmware Engineer, you will work on the software that runs in our sensors, network components and other embedded systems. You will be involved in the full development cycle: from architecture and design to implementation, testing and optimization. You will work in a multidisciplinary development team where hardware, firmware, software and product development collaborate closely. You will also have plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas on technical choices and the future development of our products. Your responsibilities • Designing, developing and maintaining firmware for sensors and network components • Developing software primarily in C and Python • Working on energy-efficient embedded solutions • Implementing and optimizing wireless communication protocols • Developing software for bare-metal systems and RTOS platforms • Analyzing and solving complex technical challenges • Supporting testing, validation and quality improvements • Collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, testers and product management • Contributing to architecture choices and future technical developments About CowManager CowManager is an innovative and globally operating company in the agricultural sector.
