Team mission The Infrastructure Platform team builds, automates, and enhances the cloud and container-based platform and datastores that underpin every product team at GetYourGuide. We are "engineers for the engineers" — designing the abstractions, paved paths, and self-service tooling that let other teams ship safely and quickly without becoming experts in the underlying systems. Our stack is built on AWS, Kubernetes, and Istio. Our aim is to provide a reliable, opinionated platform that lets teams move fast, take risks, and experiment with confidence. Your mission • Be responsible for all hiring and performance management topics on the Engineering side, helping your engineers reach their full potential • Partner closely with your peers and stakeholders to shape the roadmap and portfolio allocation, and drive high-impact delivery • Build and maintain opinionated paved paths and abstraction layers for mission teams • Champion platform engineering principles and operational excellence across the wider engineering organization Your toolkit • You have a strong sense of ownership, ensuring that technical and project plans are aligned with your stakeholders & team members for delivery • Enjoy approaching complex topics with an open mind and eye for simplicity. • Have a passion for people, supporting and coaching your engineers without going into micromanagement mode. • Strong technical experience in a cloud native platform engineering environment Extras that give you an edge • Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth environment, taking projects from zero to one and scaling them across an organization. • Experience building platforms for 500+ engineer organizations • Experience operating as a technical product manager/owner, particularly for internal platform products serving engineering customers How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year • A hybrid working approach with three days of in-office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at-home focus time • Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events • Monthly transportation and fitness budget • Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities • Language reimbursement program • Health and wellness benefits And more… How to apply Submit your CV/resume in English using the form below.
