About the role
Rudi is building the AI knowledge and decision layer for the skilled trades.
Today, diagnosing a technical fault often depends on who happens to be on site. Experienced Meisters rely on years of tacit knowledge, technical documentation and intuition. Less experienced technicians frequently need additional visits or senior support.
Rudi makes that expertise available to every technician and across trades. Our AI assistant guides technicians through diagnosis and repair, combines manufacturer knowledge with real service experience, and learns from the outcome of every job.
Our ambition is to make every technician perform closer to the best Meister in the organisation — and ultimately build the intelligence layer for technical field services across the skilled trades.
Rudi is being built with Founders Factory and a large European residential and field service organisation. The first product is already being tested with experienced Meisters, with live field pilots starting shortly.
The role
Your mission is to validate Rudi's commercial potential beyond our launch partner, identify promising customer segments and build an initial sales pipeline.
This is a hands-on role focused on customer outreach, commercial validation and early sales opportunities — not a desk research or purely strategic consulting assignment. We're looking for someone who is comfortable approaching new customers, testing commercial assumptions and turning conversations into concrete next steps.
What you will own
• Customer outreach & commercial validation. Identify and engage potential customers across housing companies, technical service providers and installation businesses. Understand their operational challenges, buying processes and willingness to pay.
• Build an initial sales pipeline. Reach relevant decision-makers, run discovery and sales conversations, and develop promising contacts into concrete pilot or commercial opportunities.
• GTM strategy & business case. Identify priority customer segments, test pricing and positioning, and develop a pragmatic GTM recommendation supported by a credible customer ROI case.
What we are looking for
You are commercially sharp, entrepreneurial and comfortable operating in the uncertainty of an early-stage startup. You know how to develop a sales strategy, but more importantly, you know how to execute it. You are a team player who enjoys a collaborative environment and working together with the co-founder team that is developing Rudi.
You bring:
• Proven B2B sales and GTM experience, ideally gained in early-stage startups or through consulting assignments with multiple startups.
• A track record of conducting external commercial validation, building sales pipelines and winning early customers for new products.
• The ability to identify and engage senior decision-makers, navigate complex B2B buying processes and turn initial interest into concrete commercial opportunities.
• A genuine interest in AI and the curiosity to track what others in the space are building. You like to follow the market, and not just focus on your own pipeline.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, including pricing, business modelling and customer economics.
• A hands-on, independent working style. You take ownership, move fast and don't need a fully developed playbook to get started.
• Native or near-native German and fluent English.
Experience in enterprise SaaS, AI, field services, property management, building technology or the skilled trades would be a plus.
The engagement
• Type: Freelance / independent consultant
• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: Until mid-December 2026, with potential to extend
• Compensation: competitive, based on experience & industry fit
• Commitment: Ideally 2–4 days per week
• Locatio
