US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

We are AI Native
We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.
Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.
About The Team
The AI Platforms team builds the shared foundation that lets Life360 use AI quickly and safely. Today, that means powering AI adoption and productivity across the company: model access, agent tooling, and the infrastructure our engineers rely on every day. We work side by side with the teams that are reshaping how Life360 builds with agents. We’ll carry these AI foundations as we look forward towards our future AI product strategy.
About the Job
As the Director of AI Platforms, you will build and lead the team through a defining shift: from supporting how Life360 works with AI to powering how AI shows up for our members. You will be a critical leader in our continued evolution for our agentic product development lifecycle (PDLC), turning early momentum into shared platforms, paved roads, and measurable results. Looking forward, you’ll shape how the platform supports AI inference and AI-powered features within our product.
You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer with close partnership across our entire leadership team.
The US-based salary range for this position is $216,500 to $318,500 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay may also vary based on geographic location, with US work locations falling into one of three geographic tiers.
Total compensation is inclusive of equity compensation in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) , as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
What You’ll Do
• Set the direction for the AI Platforms team, with a clear roadmap that balances today's internal needs with where the product is going
• Lead and scale the team to full capacity by strategically hiring and continuing to develop current team members.
• Build and evolve the shared AI platform: model access and routing, agent runtime, MCP integrations, evals, agent identity, and cost controls
• Define and own our AI end-user platforms, enabling a multiplayer ecosystem working side by side
