Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Role & Responsibilities: • Work as part of a development Scrum team in an Agile environment that is geographically diverse • Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software backend (REST API) solutions • Define requirements for new applications and customization adhering to Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices • Develop, customize, and test applications to integrate to Mastercard’s specifications All About You: The ideal candidate would have the following skills: • Advanced Java development skills • Advanced skills and knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate • Experience in building RESTful services and clients using the Spring framework • Experience working with Junit/Mockito/Spring Test • Experience with container & vmss deployments • Ability to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems • Basic security knowledge (TLS, Encryption, hashing, JWT) • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS or PCF • Knowledge of agentic AI and/or building custom agents/skills The ideal candidate may also possess some of these secondary skills: • Experience with NoSQL databases • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle • Experience with File Transfer Service (FTP/SFTP) Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
