About the role
About the assignmentWe are looking for an experienced consultant specializing in the testing and test automation of mobile applications to join our test team, which focuses on the development of handheld products and their associated applications. You will play a key role in the quality assurance of our Android- and iOS-based applications. The position involves close collaboration with test leads, test engineers, developers, and product owners to ensure high quality throughout the entire development process. The work takes place in an international environment, involving interaction with several different development teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain automated tests for mobile applications (Android and iOS)Perform functional, regression, and system testingTroubleshoot and analyze test results, and report any issues or discrepanciesCreate and maintain test cases and test documentationContribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and processesWork on test automation within CI/CD pipelines, in collaboration with our DevOps teamCollaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure testability and qualityParticipate in requirements reviews, sprint planning, and quality-related activities.RequirementsMandatoryAt least 3 years of experience in testing mobile applicationsDocumented experience with test automation for Android and/or iOSA solid understanding of software testing throughout the entire development lifecycleExperience working in agile development teamsExperience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and managing quality-related issuesExperience working with CI/CD-based test automationStrong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.Nice-to-haveExperience with Appium or similar tools for mobile application test automationProgramming skills in Python Experience with Kotlin, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages is also an advantageExperience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or other CI/CD platformsExperience testing connected products, IoT, or embedded systemsExperience testing with physical hardwareExperience with communication via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other wireless communication protocols.To succeed in this role, we believe you are:Structured - Analytical - Collaborative - Quality-conscious - CommunicativeJavaAgileAndroidHardwareiOSProgramming Languages PythonSystem testingTest AutomationTroubleshootingDocumentationEmbedded systemsDevopsContinuous integrationKotlinCI/CDAzure DevOps ServerGitLabAppiumBluetoothInternet of thingsWi-FiQuality assurance
