About the Team The Physical AI team at CoreWeave is building the compute foundation for the next era of AI. We focus on one of the highest-conviction bets in the company: enabling autonomous vehicle developers to train, simulate and validate intelligent driving systems at scale. Our team connects CoreWeave's specialised AI cloud with the software workflows that power autonomous driving development, from processing fleet and sensor data to running complex simulations and training advanced AI models. We operate where the demands of autonomy push conventional cloud architectures to their limits. As the Principal Architect for Autonomous Vehicles, you will have founding-team-level influence and own the overarching product and technical strategy for CoreWeave's autonomous vehicle offering. You will shape the roadmap across data processing, distributed training, simulation and validation, working alongside product, research, engineering and commercial stakeholders. This hands-on technical leadership role spans the full stack, from bare-metal GPU/CPU topologies, networking and storage through workload orchestration to application-facing APIs and autonomous driving software ecosystems, including NVIDIA's. You will define how fleet data, sensor simulation, synthetic data generation and closed-loop evaluation fit together into reproducible workflows, balancing simulation fidelity, throughput, reliability and cost. You will partner directly with automotive manufacturers, suppliers and autonomous vehicle developers to understand their requirements, identify capability gaps and translate platform capabilities into deployed solutions. You will guide strategic customer engagements, establish reference architectures and help turn technical advances into customer adoption and commercial growth. Qualifications: • Proven track record of founding, leading or architecting autonomous vehicle platforms, simulation systems or AI infrastructure that reached production or commercial deployment. • Deep understanding of autonomous driving workflows, including perception, prediction and planning, and how data, model training, simulation and evaluation support their development. • Hands-on experience building distributed systems under demanding throughput, latency, reliability and scale requirements. • Experience designing GPU-based training or simulation platforms, with a strong understanding of compute, networking, storage and workload orchestration. • Familiarity with fleet data pipelines, sensor simulation, scenario generation and closed-loop testing, including reproducibility and coverage of rare or difficult driving conditions. • Ability to identify where existing architectures limit customer outcomes, define practical alternatives and build alignment across engineering, research and product teams. • Demonstrated ability to connect system architecture with product strategy and business development, working directly with technical leaders and enterprise customers. Wondering if you're a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match.
