About the role
About the Role
Join a customer-facing engineering team at a venture-backed enterprise AI software company. You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand complex operational challenges and build practical software solutions that make a measurable impact.
What You'll Do
• Travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally for up to 50% of your time to understand their needs and develop solutions.
• Design, prototype, and ship working software quickly across varied customer environments and technology stacks.
• Partner with forward deployed engineers and software engineers during customer engagements and pilots.
• Share customer insights and product learnings with the core product team.
• Prepare and deliver demos and pilots for prospective customers in manufacturing, automotive, retail, and financial services.
What We're Looking For
• One to five years of experience as a customer-facing full-stack software engineer or forward deployed engineer, including at least one year shipping production code.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Python, LangChain, and Vercel AI SDK, with familiarity with Rust, SQL, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, enterprise data systems, and AI or LLM tooling.
• Strong systems design skills and the ability to turn customer problems into scalable technical solutions, while remaining flexible about technology choices.
• A degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, with strong technical fundamentals.
• Startup, founder, or early-stage company experience, and a record of commitment in previous roles.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is £100,000 to £175,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid in London, United Kingdom, with travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally for up to 50% of the time.
