About the role

Who You'll Work With We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Test Technician to support day- to-day manufacturing test operations, test fixture setup, and hardware/software troubleshooting in our production environment. Based on-site in our Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco, México office, you will report to the Mexico Manufacturing Manager and work closely with Manufacturing Test Engineers and contract manufacturing (CM) partners to ensure high test yield, product quality, and smooth operational flow. What You'll Do • Execute automated and semi-automated test procedures for High-Level Assembly (HLA) and system-level networking/server platforms. • Setup, calibrate, maintain, and repair test fixtures, cables, test stations, and peripheral diagnostic equipment on the production floor. • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on hardware and software failures occurring during test cycles down to component, board, or assembly levels. • Assist in server and test station provisioning using Linux deployment tools (e.g., PXE boot, HTTP/ISO installation). • Provide immediate, on-site technical support to production line operators when test errors or system halts occur. • Accurately log failure reports, yield statistics, and failure symptoms into production tracking databases to support Defect Reduction Team (DRT) initiatives. • Execute, run, and provide feedback on basic Python or Bash diagnostic scripts used in test automation environments. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Test Engineers, Quality Engineers, and CM technical teams to resolve recurring floor issues. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field is highly preferred. An Associate Degree (TSU / Technical Diploma) combined with strong relevant OEM/EMS industry experience will also be considered. • 3+ years of practical hands-on experience as a Manufacturing Test Technician or Hardware Support Technician, preferably within high-tech OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or EMS/CM contract manufacturing environments. • Hands-on experience using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and basic soldering tools. • Ability to read, interpret, and work with hardware schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and datasheets. • Practical familiarity with Linux operating systems (navigating command-line interface, reviewing system log files, running diagnostic commands). • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ping, network interfaces, IP configuration). • Proven troubleshooting skills and logical approach to isolating complex hardware or test station faults. • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site in a high-volume manufacturing environment. • Intermediate level of English proficiency (B1/B2) is required for technical documentation reading, system logging, and effective cross-functional communication with global engineering and operational teams. Nice to Have • Basic ability to read and modify simple Python or Bash scripts. • Experience working with EMS/CM partners in high-tech manufacturing. • Familiarity with server hardware architecture, board-level testing, and network equipment assembly. #LI-SZ1
